FreeHand

Adobe Illustrator is great
It has a plenty of features
Rich features
No doubt

But I still
prefer FreeHand

I can do most of those
fancy automatic features in Illustrator
by doing it manually in FreeHand

I've been using it
since version 2.0

FreeHand development
stopped by Adobe
since Macromedia merger

And now
my FreeHand MX 11.0.2 stopped working
in Leopard 10.5.4

Such a bad time

Shite!!! I've just tried to run FH for the first time after upgrading to 10.5.4 and the icon just jumps all the time and nothing happens! Do you also have a process "AuthenticationS" blocking 99% of the CPU? There must be a way to make FH work, why should it be different from other PPC apps... I don't want to use AI, I really don't...

I've found a way to start FH: when you click the icon and it's bouncing, go to activity monitor and look for the AuthenticationS process, the PowerPC one. Kill it, it will ask you for the admin password. Bad thing: you have to do it every time you want to start FH :( And maybe you have to uninstall/reinstall FH first, I'm not sure.
